Contact CMS 50E / Sleepyhead Issues

Hi everyone,

I have purchased a css 50e to monitor my oxygen saturation levels during sleeping as I often seem to be tired and I have pretty poor sleep according to my fitbit.

Anyway, I have a mac so I installed the relevant mac driver and sleepyhead software.

I tested the device by having it on my finger for 15 mins then uploading the data.

The data uploaded with no problems but looks completely incorrect - lots of 40% levels as well as levels above 100%!

Does anyone have any ideas what the problem is, do you think it's compatibility problem with the device and my mac?

The data looks correct when I do real time monitoring for 10 mins or so.

Do you think id be best installing windows on my mac and then trying again?

Sorry that's obviously meant to say contec cms 50e (damn apple autocorrect!)

I think someone else recently reported the same whacky data being reported when using the Mac and SleepyHead but looking okay during real time.

If there are no drops while you do the real time watching and then you see drops on the software report then obviously something isn't quite right with the software interpretation. Now as to why? Dunno but maybe it is related to the Mac driver.
Know anyone with a Windows computer you could test it on? Mac compatibility for the CMS 50E is very new...maybe it doesn't have all the bugs worked out.

I managed to install windows 10 through parallel and uploaded the data and it looks correct now so i'm going to make a new thread to get some advice on my results.

You can also just modify the subject title of your thread. It's usually best to keep all your "stuff" in one thread so everyone can easily follow along.
