Yep, just need to get the condensation under control with a hose sock or heated tube (or lower humidity settings). The correlation to make size is likely errant (and truly due to room temperature or just random factors).

Set an alarm for when you actually need to get up, and get up when the alarm rings. I presume if you're sitting around for an hour without the mask that you have no morning obligations during that time. Just sleep longer with the mask on and get up when required/desired.
