Re: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and CPAP, APAP machines

Reading the comments in this topic and in a few others, it seems like this forum is more dedicated to people in need of anger management therapy. Can't you just stick to Facebook and post your bile there? Or any other media that doesn't give a damn about helping people with real problems? It's the ...

Re: Airsense 10 problem

Is the power LED on on the power module? Seems a lot of those go bad. You can go to Harbor Freight and get a free DVM with a coupon. Measure voltage from outside metal to inside of the barrel wall. Should be 24V. You will need something like a paper clip to probe the inside. Try not to short to the ...

Re: How to try on masks w/o rx?

This is a major problem. In my sleep study I was only offered three choices. Fortunately one was Dreamwear, I would not have succeeded without that. Still, I think there might be a better mask out there for me. Certainly this is a major factor in the success rate for CPAP, but is pretty much ignored...

Re: Changing mask type for the first time in 7 years. Suggestion

I use the Dreamwear and couldn't imagine using anything else. I just wad it up in the case with the machine when I travel. Mouth breathing will be an issue. If you have nasal restrictions the mask can get really noisy. By the chart I am a medium but at times I use the large to reduce noise. They onl...

Re: MyAir data great, should I be content with that?

You can have an AHI of 20 and still get a 95. I didn't use THAT machine for a week and I got a star for the month. I'll take it, no one else is giving me a star.

Re: Remove air filter, feel better

Interesting post. It reminded me to check my filter after 6 months. These filters can not filter out anything but the largest particles in the air. Is there any visible contamination on these filters before you wash them? One possibility is you are responding to some cleaner left on the filter or so...

Re: MyAir data great, should I be content with that?

Instead of logging into MyAir or wearing out the SD card getting data, put the machine into PLUSS mode. When I stop therapy in the morning I get the quick stats, AHI, centrals, hours used, etc, even weekly and monthly averages. That will give you a better idea of bad nights and when looking at more ...

Re: Heated Hose uses Twice the water

It is likely the water is condensing in the non heated hose and draining back to the tank. That possible but half a tanks worth? I'm not experiencing any Rain out that I can detect. I would actually wake up at night when air stopped flowing or the hose made so much noise due to the tube completely ...

Re: DME Maintenance Contract

I suppose it is not much different than me going out and buying a backup machine for about that price. For certain they won't bring you out a new machine. My "new" machine actually had 120 hours on it when I rented it. In January I got hit with full rental payment as I had no built up deductible. I ...

Re: CPAP on a battery

I keep wondering about the removal of those posts. Many boards limit the time you can do that. Certainly a feature some should take advantage of. Did Resmed threaten legal action? Doubt it as they made all the details public themselves. Did he get pissed of at the boards comments and pull the detail...

voltage value may be detected by the analog to digital con verter 608 . A protection resistor 612 may be utilized to protect the A-D converter. Re: CPAP on a battery

Look this patent up, Pub. No.: US 2014/0366876 A1. It can communicate other than sensing the pullup resistor. Amazed the actually specify the 2.7K resistor from 3.3V in the patent, confirmed with testing. Whether it has to is another question. If communication is necessary with the power pack, power...

Re: CPAP on a battery

I'll have those answers soon for a Autosense 10. My cable just came in. But, I'm down to one machine right now and will get a backup in a week to be safe. Stuff happens. At the very least you will need a 3.3V regulator and a 2.7K resistor to drive that third center pin. It seems pretty likely there ...
