Recommendations for CPAP supplies company-United Health Care

Post by fredster » Thu Mar 09, 2017 10:34 pm

Hi. My supplier, Timberlake Respiratory in California, has become a mess - several orders have not been sent out. Im open to any suggestions for a good company that accepts United Health Care. Thanks in advance!

I have UHC, and I use Preferred Healthcare for my xpap supplies. I haven't had issues with them in getting supplies. To my knowledge, they don't offer any kind of automatic replenishment (or a tickler system where they call to remind you that you're due for stuff); I just call an 800# when I need supplies, and they ship 'em out.

Veni, vidi, Velcro. I came, I saw, I stuck around.

Dx 11/07: AHI 107, central apnea, Cheyne Stokes respiration, moderate-severe O2 desats. (Simple OSA would be too easy. ;))

PR S1 ASV 950, DreamWear mask, F&P 150 humidifier, O2 @ 2L.

The best thing to do is call your ins. co. and find out what DME is in network. I have UHC and my plan lets me use lincare. I am very happy with them. But, the service you get from your local Lincare office can be different than mine. The Lincare distribution center seems to do a fine job. But your local office is where you may or may not get the best customer service when you want to special order supplies the Dist. Ctr. does not carry. Just move on to the next DME and give them a try.
