Re: OSA and work (Railrod and Pilots)
I was arguing with MEdical Examiners, not employees,
And my apologies for sending this a bit off topic. But if
someone tells you that it's a "new rule" be sure and research it
for your own information.

Re: OSA and work (Railrod and Pilots)
Google "sleep apnea and DOT or CDL" and start reading and following links. Start here I guess. http://dotphysicaldoctor.com/can-dot-medical-examiner-refuse-medical-card-unless-you-have-sleep-study/ Pay special attention to part 5 but read all of the parts. I think the biggest bitch that truck drive...

Re: OSA and work (Railrod and Pilots)
Can some one advise me as to how that has worked for pilots and what may have been done for pilots working for airlines who couldn't meet the requirements for keeping their licenses? If a person can't meet whatever requirements there might be for whatever job they might have then they get to look f...

Re: Recommendations for a back-up full face mask to my DreamWear
I also give a vote for the Amara View. I'm about 6 weeks into beginning my cpap journey, And I also started out on the Dreamwear mask. I got along fine with that from day one, but Was also thinking ahead since I can get pretty congested during the winter. I picked up a View mask, and lucky I did too...

Re: Mask for a side sleeper?
I have also just started with cpap, been on it about 2 weeks. I am also a side sleeper mainly. ( toss and turn too!) At first I started off with a Dreamwear nasal mask, and I really like it. I just went through the weekend with a TERRIBLE head cold. I was so glad that I thought ahead and picked up a...

Re: OT: GOP repealing background checks for firearms
Once again Grumps is taking things out of context. One of the few "so called' conservatives who likes to take the liberal track and lie until he believes it. Grumpy would have you believe background checks have been removed; what has happened is congress removed an Obama Era extended background che...

Re: OOIDA Foundation says FMCSA's own figures don't support need
28 years in the business, and we are getting regulated to death. Wages are down (again ) and the FMCSA and DOT are just meddling. Our new restrictive "list" of approved Medical 'professionals' that we can see for our DOT physicals is a joke. That was one thing that they did get on the books as law. ...

Re: POLL: What was your AHI at your diagnostic sleep study?
130 for me, Four months and counting into this adventure and hopefully my first machine arrives by end of this week? Anxiously awaiting some improvement in my sleep. My titration study got my AHI down to 3 with 10cm pressure, I was surprised how I adapted quickly to sleeping on the system- study res...
