Sharing some positive non-CPAP results...

Hello CPAP family, I know this forum is for CPAP info and support (and you've given me much of that over the past decade plus) - but after 13 years now of nightly CPAP use, I decided to take a risk and give "another solution" a try - just on the hopes of having a bit of time away from the old hose a...

Re: Fear around new sleep study...

Hi Tec5 - sorry I missed this question from you back at the end of the year - the company that my doc ordered the sleep study from is called ReactDx (formerly BioSerenity). I can't remember now if there was a different name on the actual device I strapped to my chest those two nights - although I do...

Re: Fear around new sleep study...

For those following along here (or who might find themselves in a similar situation) - I did the first of two nights home sleep study last night and it was not nearly as bad as my mind had built it up to be :-) The at home equipment was very easy to put on - again, nothing like what I was wired up t...

Re: Fear around new sleep study...

Thanks Tec5 - yes, I am feeling fortunate that I can do this study at home. It's funny, when the doctor first asked me to schedule a new sleep study, I initially thought it would be "easier" for me to go to one like I did initially, in a clinical situation where someone watches you all through the n...

Fear around new sleep study...

After 12 years of very successful CPAP usage (much of that due to the support I got on these forums) I'm considering trying an oral appliance for my moderate sleep apnea (wouldn't it be wonderful to not have to CPAP up on travels - even if I only used the oral appliance for that?) - and so my sleep ...

Re: Are travel CPAP machines worth it?

Plus one for what booksfan just posted! I was a happy traveler for 7 years with my main home machine (well, maybe not always happy - the security check points at airports always bugged me - with half of them requiring you to take the actual cpap machine out of it's bag and the other half not caring ...

Re: AirMini does qualify for insurance compliance...

Hahahaha - well Jim - I don’t feel like I’m getting “crapped on” by anyone - but thanks for your comment ;-) Sounds like you are luckier than some of us whom “compliance” means our insurance wants to see we use our equipment regularly and consistently through the years in return for them covering th...

AirMini does qualify for insurance compliance...

All - I wanted to share a success story for me that culminated today in case any of you can benefit from it in the future :-) The background is, I bought an AirMini to use when I travel about six month ago but I hadn't really had a chance to use it for anything other than a long weekend until last m...

New(er) batteries - anyone tried?

Hi all - I've been a happy AirMini user for about a year now - that is, I use that machine when I travel rather than lug my larger Dreamstation with me. However, I'm in the market for a battery for the AirMini and I'm just bothered by the fact that the Medistrom Pilot-24 is the one and only battery ...

Re: Any Boomerang Gel Pad users out there?

Thanks chunkyfrog - I'm actually a heavy padacheek user as well.

I know Resmed makes a Gecko Gel Pad I could go back to, but they cost more than twice as much.

Just seeing if there are other Boomerang users out there :-)

Any Boomerang Gel Pad users out there?

Hello community, I'm wondering if any of you are regular users of the little Boomerang Gel Pad's by Respura that you can get on Amazon for under $10 these days? I've been using them for at least the last several years (I can see one in my purchase history from 2016) since they are so much more affor...

Travel machine recommendations?

All, I've done some searches and read some of your reviews on the AirMini and the DreamStation GO - but it's difficult to filter which one people are really happy with - or is the Z1 Auto best? I wear an AirTouch F20 mask most nights these days, but still fall back to my tried and true Quattro on so...

Re: Dreamwear FFM liners or covers

I can confirm that the Amara View liner from padacheek fits the DreamWear full face mask. I'm an Amara View wearer so I had those padacheek liners available when I tried the DreamWear a few months back. It's not an absolutely perfect cut - I'm sure Karen at padacheek will soon come out with one that...

Any side-sleepers have CPAP success with MedCline?

Hi All - a quick search shows this product was discussed a number of years ago (only a couple of threads), but mainly for it's use in helping with acid reflux. What I'm interested in is: does it provide shoulder relief for side sleeping (as the pictures make it look) AND does it work with a CPAP mas...
