Airsense 10 problem

Post by MeToo » Wed Mar 01, 2017 12:21 pm

Last night, about 5 seconds after I put my mask on and and started the machine, it stopped. I couldn't get it to respond in any way. Checked the surge protector and it works fine. The A10 is dead, as far as I can tell. Does anyone know what might be wrong? I looked for a fuse that I could reset but couldn't find anything. I'd rather not buy another machine. Any ideas? Many thanks.

check the plug into the machine ... is it in firmly ? Does the screen show any light at all ?
Most likley the power brick that failed.
Go to the DME and try it with a new power brick.
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Thank you! Yes, I tried unplugging and plugging in several times...no power indication at all.

Unfortunately, I bought it through CPAP.COM. I also have an S9, I wonder if the brick for that will work. I'll research it.

Have you tried another appliance in that outlet?

Thanks all.
Yes, my backup ran fine in that outlet, so that's not it.
Yes, two year warranty expired just 3 weeks ago!
I'm not sure what a DVOM is but I bet I can find one.
Thanks again!

Why is that unfortunate?....call them. It may be covered by warranty.
Also...try calling these people and see if they have a suggestion. ...http://acbio.com/cpap-repair/

One other thing you might try is to remove the SD card and see if it will power up.

Is the power LED on on the power module? Seems a lot of those go bad. You can go to Harbor Freight and get a free DVM with a coupon. Measure voltage from outside metal to inside of the barrel wall. Should be 24V. You will need something like a paper clip to probe the inside. Try not to short to the center pin which should be 3.3V. I'd consider buying a dead machine if the quotes are too terrible.
Seeing and believing are often both wrong. FOW

Watch out for big problem. Machine made in Australia has wrong polarity for America!!!! Very nasty and thoughtless that they don't put out a big caution for this when selling in America.

My machine fried because of this problem. Who would check Polaity or think to check if machine is made in Australia. Very poor thinking by Resmed. Spread the word to save on frying machines.
