Active Full Face Mask

Post by Jasba64 » Sat Feb 25, 2017 6:30 am

Question ONLY for those who are "Active" sleepers and also wear a "Full Face Mask". What mask do you use and how long have you been wearing it? Below are the masks that generate when I perform a search for "Active Full Face Masks".

Respironics Comfort Gel Full Face Mask

Resmed Mirage Quattro

Easy Fit Gel Full Face Mask

Resmed Quattro FX

Hans Rudolph 7600 series V2

Been wearing the Mirage Quattro for almost 8 years. I think the key is using a firm pillow. I use the buckwheat hull pillow. I have tried the F10 and F20...both were OK, but I ended up returning to the original Quattro.

Amaraview is what works for me. I had mouth leak problems so I needed full face. I tried several they all leaked at the bridge of my nose into my eyes. Amaraview is different.

Search the "Activa" mask - an original designed for active sleepers.

I'm very active and Simplus is the best I've tried. F20 would have been fine if my nose could tolerate it.

Thanks everyone. I ordered a Quattro. It looks like a bulky mask but the reviews are great.

i've got the philips comfortgel blue, the resmed airfit F20, a cloth full face mask...can't recall the company name, and the amara view.

thus far, i can never get the comfortgel to seal without having the straps so tight it's uncomfortable.

the cloth mask just won't seal around my mouth no matter what i do...which is a bummer because it seems like it would be the most comfortable.

the F20 is a super comfortable mask that is incredibly easy to latch, the magnet latches are an absolutely perfect design. it seals very well, but it often loses seal in the middle of the night, i think because i'm bumping it on my pillow. i use a large right now, i've just ordered a medium to see if it will sit on my face better. the large seems to seal fine around my nose but i lose the seal around the bottom of my mouth. the large sits lower on my chin and i think this is the problem. i'm hoping the medium will fit and seal better.

the amara view so far has worked best for me. it seems to seal just great for most of the night. i do often get irritation around the top of my mouth as the top part of the mask has some plastic that after a few hours doesn't feel real great. it is very nice in that it is so small and more unrestrictive than all other full face masks i've tried.

i've only been using these for a few weeks, so i will report back when i get more experience, but for now, for me at least, the amara view is the best fit and seal.

Consider a mask liner for the Amara View
