I wish my cpap machine had a remote

Post by sewsleepy » Sun Feb 19, 2017 1:09 pm

Being a small person, I can't reach my machine on the nightstand without getting partially out of bed. It's a huge pain if I just want to use the ramp feature or adjust the humidifier. By the time I sit up and reach over to my machine, I'm wide awake. Anyone else have this problem or find a good workaround?

Oh, that bedside holder looks interesting! Has anyone tried it? Is it pretty secure?

Many machines have automatic on/off features where the unit turns on when you put the mask on and turns off when you take it off. I don't know what machine you are using. As far as humidity...it's not something that would normally be adjuste that often. I don't think I have changed my humidity more than 2-3 times in the past year.

Auto on is my friend.
Auto off--not so much, but, heck, I'm getting up anyhow.
Feet on floor, move fast so I don't toot too much when I get out of the sack.

Auto-on is great, I don't rely on auto-off because it's noisy and wakes up my husband. I do like to use the ramp feature once in a while and lately find myself needing to adjust the humidity up or down a notch more often than I used to.
