Re: Dreamstation Backlight Settings?

Our very helpful member emailed me the update - if you PM me your email address, I'll forward it on.
Installation is VERY easy (the machine pretty much did it itself).
Of course, I am not an IT expert and there remains the risk to the machine - however it worked very well for me (and the other user).

Re: New, with a question about my sleep study last night

Jeeees, that sounds like a nightmare!!

Good on you for not getting up and walking out! At least you got to experience CPAP to some extent and it doesn't appear you were too phased by it, so that's great!

Good luck for the next one - let us know how you get on!

Re: Out through the mouth

Or a good full face mask that fits can make the problem a non issue. Yea, for sure. Will keep an eye on it - last night was fine again (I think cause mu AHI was back to 1.1 or something from 0.2 the other night and I feel much better today) and I didn't bother with the tape. Hopefully it's just a r...

Re: Dreamstation Backlight Settings?

Hey Craig - thanks for that helpful bit of info. I suspected that was the case. I have V1.0.6 - but don't have a DME, so will need to try and work out how to upgrade it myself! The trial machine I had from Philips was perfect - but the one I subsequently bought (privately) isn't - I'm wondering if I...

Out through the mouth

After a few great weeks of being totally on track and feeling amazing, I decided it'd be a great idea to keep my mouth open last night. Ridiculous thing was I "half" woke up, aware I was doing it - but obviously went back to it. Noooooo idea what suddenly caused this - but I'll be out with the maski...

Re: Confused about diagnosis

Hey Txracer Your results are pretty similar to mine - my AHI was below 5, my RDI was 23.5 I think. What it's saying (I think, and I am new and there are people here with a lot more knowledge than me) is 23.5 events triggered, not quite long enough for an aponea event, but a restricted breathing even...

Re: Encountering some problems :-(

Quick update - I put the min pressure up to 10, and my AHI was down to 1.8 last night. I didn't have time to use Sleepyhead this morning but, from the machine readout, my 90% pressure was 10.5 - so getting very close to my starting pressure. I also don't remember waking up last night - which may be ...

Re: Diagnosing a possible OSA on my brother

Remember there are other related things to OSA - like UARS. I haven't been diagnosed with OSA - (actually, I probably could be now with my latest CPAP data, but that's another thread!), and my O2 didn't drop through my sleep study. However, I was diagnosed with a "narrow airway" - and worse in REM s...

Re: Encountering some problems :-(

I (and others) have found that the hotter is it the less effective the therapy, and while you need to be careful about drying things out with A/C, some (maybe based in another room) relief might help. Good luck! Maybe that's exactly what it has been then... I went from staying in a hotel with air c...

Re: Encountering some problems :-(

Thanks Julie - I do have a bit of an issue at work at the moment which can't be resolved until next Monday/Tuesday, so maybe that's having an effect...
It's also incredibly hot!
Yes, just need to get on and sort it!!
Thank you

Re: Encountering some problems :-(

Can you post some of those charts? You take any meds? Nite time cocktails? Etc.? Hi- thanks for the help! I've posted a graph of a good night (on 5 Jan) below. I don't take any meds or anything other than water in the evenings. Julie - on 9 Jan, I started a pretty strict diet (New Year and all that...
