Teeth alignment

Post by Pegster » Mon Jan 09, 2017 9:29 am

I wear the CPAP that just covers the nose. It's a bit large, but fits. I have worn for about 1.5 years now. I have an overbite, but like braces, it's correcting my overbite!!! Yea!!! Once my teeth are aligned to my satisfaction, I'm going to request a nasal only. I don't want my top teeth to keep pushing inward at that point. So happy! I'm 60, and have never been able to afford braces.

You must wear the mask EXTREMELY TIGHT for it to move your teeth and correct an over bite. Very unusual......

I would ask your doctor for a bone densitometry - a test for osteoporosis, to see if you're beginning to have problems with that.

No, not tight at all. Just tight enough to prevent air from seeping out the sides. Just minimal pressure on my top teeth, but over time, it's doing what I didn't expect. Pushing in my top front teeth!
