i am from malaysia

then i realized my cpap machine is not functioning

i am very worried , it has never happened before

ive contacted my cpap supplier, he told me to send the machine to the office for a check up

my question is ,
do cpap machine expired after 2 years,... mine is 2 years 6 months ,, just finish warrany 6 months ago
or is it more common that the AC power cord of adpater 60 w is broken

CPAP machines are typically pretty long lived, but always exceptions. But if they say they can fix it, you can have a reasonable expectation of more use out of it.

No idea which make or model cpap you are having troubles with but normally the device does last many, many, years.

Some things you should check...
1. FIRST, Always, Always check to be sure the outlet has power. Plug in something else like a light or other device that needs AC power.
2. Be sure the cord if firmly inserted into the AC outlet.
3. On the AC power adapter make sure those wires are firmly seated in the converter part.
4. Be sure the cord is firmly inserted into the cpap device.

5. Are there any lights on the cpap or any indication that it is getting power? Any message or error code on the LCD display?

If the above does not get the cpap working then it is time to contact your equipment provider (DME).

Hopefully you have a backup/spare cpap? Whether the above helped or not having a spare or backup cpap is always, always a good idea.

Send?
How far away is your supplier?
Take it in, along with the power cord--so they can check everything.
Ask about a loaner machine, so you do not skip therapy.

unfortunately , i dont have a back up cpap. it cost around 1800 usd here equals to 8000myr. so i only have one
just got a call from the supplier, the say some wires inside the cpap were burned
the ac adpater was not working. so they connect with another adapter, the adapter got burned
(that's what i understood from their explaination)
probably it will take some time to get fixed, or otherwise i have to get a new one

My auto cpap is a 2014 may( first use) REMStar system one a flex .

now it s been 3 days since not using cpap, i am having so much asthma attack
a bit sleepy

i am very dissapointed with the machine, because when i first have to buy the, the respiratory therapist recommend auto cpap philips or resmed, and recommend me this supplier
the resp therapist said auto titrating cpap usually last VVVVEry long... more than five years. non auto titrating(fixed ) cpap last usually for 2 or 3 years based on her experience.
after her recommendation, i agreed to but an auto cpap which cost usd1800= myr 8000 . back in 2014.

ealier this year, my physician told me my asthma is getting severe, i do have some trouble using the cpap , because of the exhalation problem.
but after foster+spiriva respimat+singulair+daily pred, i was able to tolerate it well
waiting for xolair next year

if i were to be blamed, probably my cpap got so sicked of me because i was so sick the whole year and it start to stop working.

i just wished i have a back up cpap at the moment.
not much people are using PAP here. it s not like a common diagnosed disease here
i got diagnosed at 25 , now i am 28.
i know nobody at 28 are using PAP here.

hope things to get better soon

Check out secondwindcpap.com for a possible source for a new machine.
They will ship internationally and you can buy 3 from them for what you pay in your country for one.
