I have a CPAP for sale that I used for one week

Post by Giggly » Fri Dec 02, 2016 12:49 pm

If anyone is interested and is being told the require a CPAP machine I have one that I used last year and am trying to sell. I had a surgery last year and my insurance made me purchase this unit. I used it one week in August of last year and one week in December of last year. It is like brand new and completely clean. It is a Philips System One Heated Humidifier With the REM Star Auto A-Flex. Your pulmonologist can program this for your particular requirements. It is set up now for a pretty low range but can be increased. I also have the RESMed AirFit P10 Nasal Pillow System. I have the carry case and all the manuals. If you are interested you can contact me at beok1 yahoo com. I am located in the Palatine, IL area. I also can email pictures if needed.

I know these can be pricey through insurance. When I bought through my insurance I had to pay $390.00 out of pocket. I am hoping to get $200.00 for this unit.

If your insurance "made you buy it" You need it. You should be using it. And you shouldn't be driving without using it every night for 8 hours.

What "surgery" did you have? Along the lines of what BlackSpinner said, if your insurance paid for it, YOU NEED IT! USE IT!
Did you have a follow-up sleep study to verify that you don't need it? If not, you still need it.
If your insurance provider is still paying for it, you can't sell it. That would be insurance fraud.

Instead of repeating that you need it (which you almost certainly do), I will ask, "Why are you contemplating getting rid of it?"

Yeah, the server software has been doing that alot lately.
Don't know specifically why, but probably has to do with various ISP suppliers and IP numbers being reused and is not reliable to determine that the "guest" is actually one of the "also posted as" identities.

OK......admit it......you've been selling some gray-market equipment on the side......

So, join the club. I saw a couple guest posts last year that had my name associated with it, too.

I saw a couple of non logged in posts with Pugsy in the parentheses just this past weekend. It wasn't me.

The names in parentheses no long necessarily mean the person posting has posted before under any sort of other forum ID name.
Used to be it was fairly accurate but not anymore.

It was also fairly common, too, especially when AOL was a viable ISP. Hardly anyone uses it anymore, but apparently a few do.

This is the same thing I found recently with my posts.
The software on this forum really needs to be updated.
A simple solution is that Guests should be made to register before they are allowed to post.
let them read but no posts until they register.
That is pretty much the norm on BBS today to prevent Spam and abuse.
