Let's not go and start rumors.....Now it will go around that anyone with a double chin has OSA.

If they have it liposuction-ed off will they be cured?
Began XPAP May 2016. Autoset Pressure min. 8 / max 15. Ramp off. ERP set at 2. No humidity. Sleepyhead software installed and being looked at daily, though only beginning to understand the data.

They can cure double chin with botox, but you still can run your train into things. Jim

I hear over 50 years ago they came up with a Dead Man's Switch, look at all the money they save by not using it!

He certainly might. I am sure you read that he drove straight into the station without slowing - signs of being asleep at the controls.

My guess is that 90+ percent of people with a double chin have sleep apnea before the age of 40.

Note that a similar crash in December 2013 in Bronx, NY - only fifteen miles from this one - was also caused by Sleep Apnea.

So this begs the questions. Should all train operators be screened? Who else should be screened? What kind of follow-up is needed? How is non-CPAP treatment monitored?
