Re: Anyone go through Apria?
I have used Apria for a number of years. I have never had them demand a credit card number and I have never given them one. I have had them try to tell me that their not having my CC number on file might slow deliveries. That has not happened. The only thing about Apria that really irritated me was ...

Re: Nose stuffiness with humidity turned on
It sounds like the OP is using a nasal mask or a full face mask. If that is the case and his/her nose clogs up as soon as the mask goes on, it is probably due to the mask seal going on too low on the nose. If the seal on the nose extends too low on the nose it puts pressure on the area where there i...

Re: Breath in thru nose out thru mouth
I breath in thru my nose and sometimes exhale thru my mouth this wakes me up because of the pressure. Chin strap is useless. I have tried full face and nasal pillow. Any suggestions? ====== sometimes i have to when the machine gets out of sync with me or tries to force more air in then i can breath...

Re: ASV and (another) High Altitude Question
Typically they compensate up to 8500 feet per the manufacturers (One more correction of misinformation). I agree with Pugsy concerning higher altitudes. With an ASV in auto mode the machine should provide the necessary pressure for your conditions anyway.

Re: what is 'blocked' breathing
Resmed ASVs do not have a fixed back up rate. they have a default backup rate. So until the machine gets enough data from your breathing it will use 15. After it has enough data it will use your most recent respiratory rate.

Re: Final part of the puzzle
...... your dry mouth could have been your mouth being open confirmed if the leak it caused ran the pressures way up on the second machine but we need to see the data to know for sure Leaks do not cause PAPs to increase pressure! They cause PAPs to increase flow in an attempt to maintain pressure!

Re: spontaneous microarousals? PSG sleep study
RERAs are Respiratory Effort Related Arousals. That would make the 1) category RERAs as you opined. Arousals and apnea events are not necessarily the same. An apnea event can cause an arousal but does not always do so.

Re: Sudden jump in AHI with new medication
xxyzx, I went back and searched duloxetine and looked for breathing problems. I checked 4 different web sites. None of them mentioned breathing problems. Why would you search a trade name when the medication was prescribed under the generic name. They are not always totally the same. So you are not ...

There are many things lis...
