Issues with my local DME

Post by ogg » Mon Jul 25, 2016 11:43 am

So i have been having a never ending set of issues with my local DME, so i went looking for an on-line option, however none of the on-line options offer any sort of billing to insurance? anyone know of an option?

You need to check your insurance to see what "they" cover and allow.

Most online stores will provide the paperwork, but you have to pay them yourself and then submit it for reimbursement.
Current Settings PS 4.0 over 10.6-18.0 (cmH2O) - Resmed S9 VPAP Auto w/h5i Humidifier - Quattro Air FFM
TNET Sleep Resource Pages - CPAP Machine Database
Put your equip in your Signature - SleepyHead v1.0.0-beta-1

Online dealers may be out of network, and your insurance coverage is generally much less.
That, and you pay up front, then wait (and hope) for reimbursement.

sure, thats the thing, the on-line options will provide the paperwork, but I'm lazy, i would like to find an option that will file the paperwork. if not, I'm teasing the idea of starting a business of offering this.

you do realize that wanting someone else to do what you're too lazy to do is going to cost you a lot of money, right?

There are some online cpap suppliers who will file insurance in lieu of payment from you and wait for insurance to pay but you first need to find out if your insurance will work with them.
LibertyMedical.com
thecpappeople.com
easybreathe.com
verushealthcare.com
come to my mind at the moment and there's probably more

What you have to do if you want your insurance to be billed so you aren't and you don't have to is you have to get a list from your insurance company as to who they will work with in their network and then go through the list to find which ones have online supplying.

Clearly you have never had to deal with the Insurance bureaucracy! If you followed through on this idea, you'd be working with dozens of "big faceless corporations", each with their own rules and procedures to avoid paying. Good luck with that!!!
