Airmony CPAP

Post by Dr. Miquel Sisteré » Thu Jul 07, 2016 12:44 pm

Hello CPAP users,

Our team at TBIOM has recently designed a new hoseless and superportable CPAP. Its name is Airmony. We have launched a campaign at Indiegogo which I'm sure you will find very interesting https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/airm ... ble-cpap#/. We would be very grateful if you could contribute. If not, share it with everyone you know!

I will be bringing more information and answering any questions you may have.

Thank you very much.

As an APAP user who cannot stand anything on the bridge of my nose this is just the opposite of what I need. I don't see how someone can stand having that big piece in their vision either. I'll stick with my Amara View.

All I can say is that if that story is Representative of your company's research skills then I would run as fast as possible in the other direction. For fucks sake there were light weight batteries already on the market 2 years ago. We have threads more then 2 years old on the forum about it.

I am unclear on the intended meaning of one clause used in the page to which you gave us a link . . .
Airmony is a disrupting CPAP experience
Does that "help" provided now qualify me for the $10 buy-in?

That is only one example of how your online copy desperately needs copy-editing in order to de-Spanglishize it.

As for the straw-man attacks on regular CPAP machines, someone needs to edit that to raise the logic of it to the level of merely laughable instead of all-out insulting.

I could fix that for you, but the present state of your online pitch makes it obvious that you can't afford me.

I do, however, applaud your attempt to involve actual CPAP-patient experts, such as those in this forum, early on. Let me forewarn you, though, that your potential investors may not want to hear what we have to say.

I cannot believe this thing is real, ever will be real, or could ever be used longer than TWO MINUTES!
This is the most ridiculous design I have ever seen.
This would have gotten a failing grade in my industrial design class.
IS THIS A JOKE?

The visuals of your device aren't very appealing, what with the main bulk of the device situated on the most vulnerable part of a CPAP user's anatomy, that is, the nose area. No humidifier option is generally a big turnoff around here. Also, any machine vibration would be transferred to the user's forehead and possibly cheekbones, not helpful for a good night's sleep, or so I would guess... BTW, there will always be some vibration from a motor and associated pressure variables.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I like the name, Airmony. It says exactly what it is--an attempt to pluck money right out of the air!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Zt6OPgJNcY

http://www.thecrowdfundingcenter.com/?p ... &id=346860

These lines from the video seem especially bad:
the badly translated video wrote:"I am always looking for a good sensation and for maximum performance. I therefore need to recover and to sleep well."
There for a minute, I wasn't sure exactly what kind of product was being advertised.

obligatory joke first: airmony, sounds like something you have to pay after a divorce.. airimony, alimony. needs a new name... (edit: damnit, jnk jumped in and made a joke on the name whilst I was typing!)

now, aside from the horror that is that kid having his neck twisted off in his sleep, *KRAAAACK!*... the most of the rest of the comparisons are hopelessly out of touch with reality.

angry person tangled in the hose has *obviously* never seen a P10."
"heavy and builky" never seen an air10.
"annoying continuous noise" (of around 25dba over on the bedside table) vs the same thing strapped to your face.
"their old batteries (really) vs OUR batteries.
"no or intermittent records" (have they SEEN a cpap made in the last 6 years?)
"pre-internet tech" uh... yeah.

someone, hand me another thigh bone, I feel like bashing on something.

and, while I applaud the folks around the world innovating, if you're gonna put it on an english language fundraising site, it might do well to have someone do a voiceover for the CEO while he demonstrates his facehugger.

and, jeeze, the thing's too freaking expensive.

I'm with the frog. File it under "joke." Whether the designers/marketers/money-hunters know it or not.

The concept of TBIOM appears when joined in a place and time the wishes of three people working in three different fields: Dr. Miquel Sistere, specialist in Psychiatry, who has treated people with disorders of behavior and seeking a functional solution to these problems, Jaume Palou which has been developing technology products for many years and Francesc Martínez an expert in technological innovation and lawyer.

Project POCPAP

POCPAP " " POrtable Continuous Positive Airway Pressure" "

POCPAP is a portable, self-contained device of air to provide ventilation in the treatment of sleep apnea syndrome (SAHS-affected people) and to improve the night rest in elite or high performance athletes.

PO-CPAP proposes the development of new products for the treatment of the sleep apnea, whose distribution, mass marketing and simplicity in the post-sale permit development of sales and steady profit growth.

Thanks to advances in electronics, studying the characteristics of conventional CPAP and knowing the actual and potential needs of its current users, which are: autonomy, portability, adaptability, which is suitable for use "off the grid", quieter and other aspects, we have devised the CPAP to do that really is portable, easy to disassemble and clean and at the same time, it is equipped with a few control parameters that adapted it to each patient. All these new features are reflected in our patent. It is noted that our patent includes a particular servosystem control and air flow, allowing to substantially reduce energy consumption to maintain the air pressure in the soft palate, opening up possibilities in addition to the pulmonologists such as gradual re-education of this area of the body.

And a small 'box' on a side table, with a semitransparent plastic hose linking a small nasal or even full face mask will scare children more than that monstrous 'thing' on their face? What PLANET are you on!

Claiming that the Airmony somehow simplifies the CPAP experience is like claiming that the Sagrada Familia is an example of simplified architecture.
