Well, that's unhappy. I looked for a post from krelvin (the right Kevin?) on this subject and did not find it, so I'm sorry if I'm beating a dead horse. I was encouraged by posts like this on another thread:
Re: CMS 50D+ and the new Sleepyhead

Hi dav6406,
SleepyHead's newest test versions work with the CMS50+ Pulse Oximeters, which is very helpful to those of us who use Macs.
--SleepyCPAP
When you say "can get results" what does that mean if not a download of overnight data?
Perhaps the question I should be asking is, is this cheap ol' 50D+ worthless and I should spring for a big-boy device? This is the third oximeter I've tried and none work properly so far.

This is Krevlin's site. https://sleep.tnet.com/equipment/oximeters
I haven't used a recording oximeter so I don't have other advice.

Re: SleepyHead Mac OSX CMS-50D+ problems - please help
Hello,
I passed through the same problems two months ago. I read about it in Apneaboard software support forum. Finally after installation of parallel, I managed to synchronize my CMS D Oximeter data with sleepyhead. It is a long process to import the data from spo2 assistant first and save it then open it with sleepyhead. It is not user friendly at all. it slowed my iMac very much and it is interfering with my other work on it. I am going to take my iMac to Maintinance as I am afraid that it may crash. I am thinking of removing parallel software and looking for another Oximeter that is compatible with Mac. I appreciate your advice here.

Why would you remove Parallels though - it's great for any Windows applications.

Re: SleepyHead Mac OSX CMS-50D+ problems - please help
I just bought a CMS 50D+ with the plans to download one night's monitoring to my MacBook Pro running OS X 10.11.6. No luck. the confusing part is where SleepyHead ask you to click the upload button on the device. I have never found one such button and no one else seems to have either. When I check the USB setup via the Mac System Report (under About this Mac) it does show the Silicon Labs 1.0 UART Bridge controller when I plug the cord in. SleepyHead also gives different responses whether the cord only or cord and device are plugged in as others have reported. So it seems to be connected to the Mac for those basic checks. Just need a nudge to get the download going. Any help from SleepyHead developers?aaapodaca wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 2:09 am@lblando
Did you ever get your 50D+ to work? I'm having exactly the same problem you had with downloading recordings directly into my Mac. I'm running SH 1.0.0-beta-2 and my brand new 50D+ appears to have version 4.6 firmware. There are several other threads on the same subject, and noone ever seems to post a definitive solution. The pointer to the English language manual "supplement" is interesting with its nonintuitive sequence of steps, but nevertheless, following them while chewing bubblegum and walking backwards still did not convince my SH software to capture the recording.
If anyone else has a step-by-step process of how to use and upload from a CMS-50D+, I'd love to see it.
1) Start a recording
2) Stop recording so that it is saved and uploadable
3) Know that a recording is actually on the device and available for uploading
4) Properly hit each SH UI menu item and each 50D+ button/menu item in the right order so that the uploading happens
Conversely, if @jedimark or anyone else knows that the Mac version of the software definitely does not support 50D+'s, it would be great if someone would speak up and unambiguously put this quest to rest.
Thanks all! I'm looking forward learning from all those who have struggled with this diagnosis before me.

if there is no upload option in the menu, then just enter the menu that is what works for some CMS units also try all different types of CMS units in sleepyhead

Hurray! After trying everything, I finally got this to work!!
The solution is so simple, it's ridiculous. Are you ready for this??
On the 'Select Oximeter Type:' dropdown box, select "CM550F[...]",
click import, and BOOM! Off it goes!
I hope this helps someone. I drove myself about crazy before figuring this out...
