Strategies: Ideal Spot CPAP Machine During Sleep?
Where do you put your machine? On the bedside stand right? Sounds rhetorical but I've discovered several strategies and problems in 5 years.
1. Near a cool spot or window is best to get fresh air, especially in winter. Anywhere near a heater vent and you are gonna be dry mouthed all day.
2. NEVER put it on the floor or carpeting. Filthy down there, clogged filter, and besides, you can step on your machine that way (been there done that)
3. SECURED: under my large bed stand, i have built a little secure frame so the PAP cant move at night, even if i jerk the hose. Dont wanna damage it.
4. NIGHT LIGHT is best, because we all know most nights you'll have to get up a couple times
any other ideas?

The large/blue letters made your post easy to read.
All good ideas... mine is on my night stand and sits on shelf liner so it doesn't move around. I also use a hose cozy that I bought from Metsfan (a member here) ... it's soft and pretty, and less like something you'd see in a hospital.

Personally, I stopped "correcting" Internet users about their font size and case in about 1989. What's next: diatribes about top posting versus bottom posting?ChicagoGranny wrote:Yes, quit screaming in the forum.DavidCarolina wrote:

Initially I wondered that also but then I saw there are openings on both sides so you can place it on either side.StuUnderPressure wrote:LSAT wrote:If a person can't figure it out on their own...there is always this....

Oops, didn't see that other hole. Kept looking at the hole near the hose, etc.OkyDoky wrote:Initially I wondered that also but then I saw there are openings on both sides so you can place it on either side.StuUnderPressure wrote:LSAT wrote:If a person can't figure it out on their own...there is always this....

I use the cpap night stand. It has openings on both sides for the hose, and an opening in the back for the power cord to run through. It comes with a stick-on hook to hang your mask on. I keep my water all all of my supplies in the stand, including my spare mask and cushions.

I actually took the headboard off of my bed and put the table behind my bed. I can move through the night freely from side to side.
I recently moved the machine very close to the window, and it seems to be working our well. I can get through the night without the humidifier going dry.
Good post.
I wish you well...
