CPAP, Dry eyes, Allergy

Hello from a new member of CPAP talk.
After two years of research, I have finally arrived at a point where the things seem to work, and I would like to share my history:
After a night or two in a sleeplab two years ago, it was verified that I had an important sleep apnea of both obstructive and central type.
From the Ear-Nose-Throut doctors I was sent to the lung specialistes, and I have tried all sorts of ResMed CPAPmachines.
ALLERGY: Quite soon I discovered that I was allergic to the silicone lining of the mask, and helped by friends I found a user who suggested to me to make my own masks from old T shirts to wear under the CPAP mask and that has worked fine, no leaks at all.
DRY EYES: Through CPAPtalk I found this problem treated, suggesting to use swim goggles, so I got a pair - aie, aie, more allergy. One thing to do: Make my own eye masks to wear under the swim goggles!! It works. My eyes are much better and I hope they will be completely ok soon.
SLEEP ON THE SIDE: Because of great problems with my hips, I have had to sleep strait on my back for years. The lung specialiste asked me to try to turn as much as I could on the side, and I noticed on my CPAP machine that it seemed to work.
To the great astonishment of my doctor all the sudden my values are within a completely normal range - after two years of labour. Conclusion: DON'T GIVE UP.

Sr. Eva (I have two selfies to illustrate what I look like at night, but I don't know how to put them in!)

My machine: VPAP ST (Lumis 150, ResMed) - very good, because you can read the results directly in the morning.
My mask: F&P Simplus
