Cleaning face at night questions

Post by jurgersenc » Mon Feb 08, 2016 5:28 pm

So I work late and come home when everyone is asleep. I don't want to wake anyone up to wash my face before sleeping. Are there any facial cleansing wipes I could use to get the same end goal? Thanks

Any baby wipes will work. There are many kinds - avoid scented ones.

Before bed I sometimes use 70% isopropyl alcohol, available from any drugstore. I just dribble some on a paper towel and use that. I keep both those things in a cabinet by my bedside, mostly for when I'm too lazy to run hot water (takes forever) and break out the soap. Use sparingly and definitely don't get it in your eyes One other bonus of this usage is that I use an electric shaver at night to make sure I get a good mask seal... obviously I can't use aftershave but the alcohol use does give a skin a refreshing 'zip' and leaves no smell like aftershave.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Baby wipes usually do not contain alcohol, which can dry out your skin.

I have somewhat oily skin, so alcohol drying my skin temporarily isn't a big deal for me. Hey, I'm a guy, what do I need silky smooth skin for anyway?

I know you are a "tough bugger" but you may want to experiment with diluting your 70% in half. 35% has more than enough to cut oils and is less drying on your skin.

I use a little bit of hand sanitizer... same effect, possibly nicer to the skin

I don't wash my face. Try that!
