Which mask liner?
I have been using Remmzzz mask liners and using the Medium size instead of small even though I use a small mask.
Looking at the other brand of liner and wondering which would be best and which size I should get.
What experience have you had with mask liners?
Have you switched from the Remzzz liners to the other brand?
How do their sizes compare?

aside from them, the rest are all pretty much the same, a bit of cloth you arrange between your face and the mask.
I got a sample pack from remzzz and used it for years, washing it out each week... it did all I needed.

I make my own from an old tee shirt. If you do a Google search on CPAP mask pattern, you will find one that is the same size as a Remzzz small liner. You can also use your medium Remzzz as a pattern for making your own mask liners. I put mine in a small mesh bag and throw them in with the laundry.

Re: Which mask liner?
I vote for the Remzzz generally speaking but have used the Padacheek liners too. Both good products. Remzz are cotton baby jersey cloth and Padacheek is made of polyfibers of some sort, if that makes a difference to you.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
Re: Which mask liner?
Question? Are mask liners for comfort only or to aid in stopping mask leaks or both?

Re: Which mask liner?
they don't stop leaks, really, if you think about it, silicone against skin is going to be the best seal, but if the silicone gets oily, and slippery, it'll slip, and you may get really bad, loud annoying big leaks.wyonel wrote:Question? by providing a buffer, the mask liners, which don't give a perfect seal, cut down on that slipping, and are more comfortable (to many people) and can turn a loud squeal leak into a barely audible ssssss that doesn't bother anybody.
I usually say that they help at taming leaks.

Re: Which mask liner?
Thanks for the info. I didn't know Padacheek made mask liners.
I haven't been around for a long time. Used to come here everyday but got out of the habit.
Been a hosehead for 10 years.
I just ordered a mask liner from Padacheek.
If I don't like it I will send you the bill.

if you don't like it, call Karen at Padacheek and talk to her about it, she's really good about taking care of her customers, and helping them get the best experience with her products.Arizona-Willie wrote:I just ordered a mask liner from Padacheek.

that's one of the reasons I recommend them.

Re: Which mask liner?
I started with Pad-A-Cheek; I didn't like the feel of the fabric on my face, but otherwise they're great. I switched to RemZzzs, and I still use them now, but I've started making my own from old t-shirts based on the RemZzzs liner. I wash and reuse all of them; no point in discarding them until they wear out or start fraying so much you get strands of fabric in your mouth or on your face. In reality, that hardly ever happens, I've only thrown two away since they day I realized I didn't need to discard them after one use. I really don't think one is any better than the other; it's more a matter of personal preference, just as the type of mask you wear is what's most comfortable for you.

Re: Which mask liner?
I've been on the hose for 3+ year now and have had to replace liners twice during that time frame. I always have 2 pad-a-cheek liners in rotation... one is in use and the other is drying from washing.
Depending on weather, humidity, drool factor, etc - I typically get 4-5 days use between washing
I love my Pad-A-cheek liners and Karen is awesome to work with!!!
