MyAir Scores

Post by Thatgirl » Sun Jan 31, 2016 11:16 am

Good grief. What does one need to do for a perfect score. Sleep for 8 hours with no bathroom break?

Seven hours will get you there if all else is OK. And once you have been on CPAP for a while you are less likely to need bathroom breaks. Bear in mind that this score is only a better-than-nothing snapshot. If difficult stuff is going on, SLEEPYHEAD software will help you figure it out.

Oh yes, Sleepyhead is my go to software. I mostly find the MyAir scores amusing.

I just scored my first 100 last week. You have to sleep for 7 hours with no bathroom break. I lost sleep one night, because I thought it was 6:30 when it was really 5:30, and I refused to get out of bed to go to the bathroom. Didn't get back to sleep again. Your sleep is more important than 100 points.

Agree! Just points to the ridiculousness of their scoring. Maybe I'll get an extension cord and bring my machine to the bathroom with me.

I get a regular sub 1.20 or so AHI from sleepyhead, +7 hours combined sleep every night and I two sleep every night as well (I get up at least once every, some times stay up for an hour or more). I get great sleep therapy.

Never would use myair.

MyAir is good for new CPAP users, and it may lead to them being more involved in their therapy...that is a good thing. It also may stimulate some into searching out more and finding software like Sleepyhead and get really involved like the rest of us.

I generally upload to Sleepyhead on Sunday mornings, and use MyAir to keep tabs on my usage hours, AHI (shows same as SH, just in a simpler format) and leak rates during the week.

It is a limited tool, but a tool nonetheless.

You need to get Sleepyhead. It is much more friendly and will show you where your problems are. Here is a link that will help you download. https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepyhead

sad to say, that image is worthless when it comes to trying to make things better.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Downloaded sleep head. I have a 3.71 AHI and major leaks.

Going to have to find a FFM that I can deal with and doesn't leak.

What is MyAir? Is it an alternative to SleepyHead?

MyAir is just an online interface that ResMed offers to users of their AirSense 10 machines. It gives you a score based on usage hours, leak rate, events per hour and how many times you take your mask off. The overall "score" (as posted by Mr. Nifty) is pretty worthless and arbitrary, but can be an encouragement for beginners.

SleepyHead is the best out there, and is what you really need to dig into the effectiveness of your therapy and do any troubleshooting to help improve it.
