silent night liners---anybody wash theirs? How?

Post by wjg » Sun Jan 10, 2016 3:25 pm

Got some to try but I think they need to be washed before using them again.
So what do you folks that use them do about changing them each night and
how do you wash them so that they can be used more than a few times?

The product page on cpap.com indicates they are intended to be used for a week,
are removable in order to wash the MASK, (but not to be washed themselves); and are then disposable.
One of the reviews states that the adhesive degrades with removal and re-attachment.
If you feel this is insufficient, you may use a liner as a pattern to make one from a washable fabric,
and attach by whatever means available.
Please be careful to NOT BLOCK THE EXHAUST VENTS.
One may also purchase Pad a Cheek liners, which can be washed dozens of times.

I use a small garment bag to wash my headgear and strap covers. It keeps them from getting tore up.

I like the Remzzz mask liners made of baby jersey cotton cloth... very comfortable and I've washed a single one for more than a month (every morning). Google them and ask for a sample pack which, as I recall, is just the price of shipping.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I ordered a sample silent night liner that I tried last night for the first time. |It was awful. As I was getting the upper tabs attached to the mask the lower ones got away from me and attached to the mask in the wrong place. I had to pull them off but then one tab somehow got folded over and stuck to the adhesive. What a mess. I would never use these. Find the Remzzz liners much better.

I made liners our of an old, well-used tee shirt. My wife crocheted a small bag to put them in. We throw the bag in with the whites when doing laundry, then iron them dry which returns them to the original shape.
