Hello!
I have been struggling with life for the past 6 years. I use to be a tiny person and extreemly athletic, but then I shattered my ankle and was laid up for a long while and got depressed because the doc told me I could never run again. I gradually doubled my body weight and wasn't sleeping well and have no motivation to do anything other than work. My husband has been beyond frustrated with me because my memory has gotten bad enough that I forget to do things constantly, and I am so fatigued all of the time. I recently had another surgery and after the anesthesiologist came in my room after and told me I have sleep apnea and to do a sleep study. I got it schedule two months out and did the study 2 weeks ago. It showed I have severe sleep apnea (72 avg. Events per hour)
I'm wondering what people's experiences have been in the beginning and how it helped long term. I don't want to get my hopes up that I'm going to feel like my old energetic self and excited about life. I'm not afraid of hard work and want to feel good enough get moving and heading in the right direction again.
I would love to hear stories similar to mine and outcomes. Suggestions and tips and tricks too, please. I'm excited and want to set some goals that are attainable.
