Re: Switching CPAP to APAP for diagnostics,....

Very small difference between 6 and 7 and with the machine allowed to raise if needed 6 might do the trick. You never know until you try and see the results. At least you know what needs to be increased if after a few days the events aren't lowered.

Re: Switching CPAP to APAP for diagnostics,....

On your planned auto settings I would set the minimum at 7 since that is what you are running now and are still having events. The top setting really doesn't matter since the machine will not increase unless it feels you need it. If you want to limit it to 12 and see if you even reach that pressure ...

The Machine you have pictured, the CPAP model, doesn't record a lot of data for sleepyhead to read. Let's make sure which model you have. Remove the water from the humidifier and look for the model/REF#, this will identify the specific model. You can look at this site to help. https://sleep.tnet.com...

If you think the shape of your nasal passages may be contributing to your feeling, you might try using a nasal strip with your mask to see if that helps.

If your tablet doesn't have an SD card slot but does have a USB port you can buy a card reader for the port.

Re: Reviews of home sleep tests offered online?

You stated that the sleep center was part of a larger hospital center. Call the medical records department of that hospital and request the records. That's how I got my sleep study. I did get the prescription from the doctor but this way you might at least get the sleep study report quicker.

You could try a nasal gel before use and see if that adds enough moisture to help. I found the gel lasted longer than the spray.

Have you had an ENT evaluation to see if there is a nasal restriction that can be corrected?

Not posting a price on their website, Tells me VaporProduct or we are charging so much that if you are smart you will run. They don't sell to individuals. Are they owned by Resmed? Jim Canada has government healthcare. They sell to the government for people to use instead of expensive CPAP. Wouldn'...

Re: My First Night on the CPAP: impressions, challenges, and questions

Initially it was a DOT job requirement that I get tested and I built up a wall of disbelief when I was told I needed a CPAP. Luckily, it wasn't too hard for me to sleep with the machine and as I used it I began to see the benefits. There are so many health problems that SA and Hypoxia contribute to ...

Learning about your machine and its response to events by using Sleepyhead is one of the best thing you can do for your therapy. Here is a link where you can get the Clinical Manual. It has more information than the User Manual that's given to you. Scroll down to section three and follow instruction...

Re: Difference between Resmed App and Sleepyhead?

The App is mostly an encouragement tool for continued use. Sleepyhead gives much more information depending on which machine that you are using. Some are full data and some only compliance data. So if you fill out your equipment profile it would help us to give you more information.

Re: Renowned Sleep Expert Dr. Jerrold Kram to Present New Sleep Apnea Treatment by Sommetrics at SLEEP 2018

So far it looks like it is only sold by prescription in Canada. Is it set at a fixed rate or how does it determine when to apply the neg. pressure? It seems to me it would pull the skin but not sure it would the tongue or airway tissues. Must have pretty good suction  or it would come off wit...
