CareCentrix

Post by cancun » Tue Oct 06, 2015 9:27 pm

Anybody have any experience with CareCentrix? My insurance company is switching to them next month. I have been dealing with HomeLInk which has been fine, they are both just a middleman. With HomeLink I was able to use a small hometown pharmacy where I knew the people and that my niece worked at but they don't work with CareCentrix so I know I am going to have to find a new place. I am not a fan of change but should be used to it since everything with insurance seems to change every year now.

I would advise start ordering through them about 4 to 6 weeks before you need stuff or are eligible for benefits.
They are very slow in getting requests processed, but I must say that they are quick to send out a bill.

I started the order process back on Sept 1 and finally took delivery on Friday Oct 2.
I think that the idea of this company is to slow the process down, and hopefully you give up and go away...
That saves the insurance company big $$$ I am sure.

I wish you well...

Private insurance is such a mess. I am so glad I retired when I did.
Had I still been on BCBS when my cancer was discovered, my out of pocket charges
could have put me twenty grand in the hole.
As it is, my only expenses have been my premiums for Medicare B and my supplements.
---Oh, under twelve bucks copay on pain meds and one antibiotic.
