Re: Home Remedy for Cancer
I am so glad to hear the positive update!!! I have heard wonderful things about the Baking Soda Cure, and I fully intend to use it, or recommend it, should the need ever arise in the future. The stubborn, crusty, old fart thing could prove harder to treat than the cancer :) Continued good health to ...

Re: nasal mask success stories?
I use a Chin-Up Strip, http://chinupstrip.com/ which helps keep my mouth from falling completely open, and two pieces of tape, crossed in an "X" over my mouth, to hold my lips together. This works GREAT for me. I have yet to find a full face mask that has fit without a lot of leaks, so my nasal mask...

Re: anxiety to masks and the forced air
Hi! It sucks to deal with this stuff in the absence of compassionate practitioners. I have one suggestion that can be very helpful and in a very short period of time: hypnotherapy. It works great for fears and phobias. Conventional therapeutic treatment does consist of desensitizing, which can take ...

Re: Dreamwear Full Face Mask!!!
Hi, Chicago Granny, I am happy to hear that the Dreamwear Full Face Mask is working so well for you!! I use the P10 mask and I love it, but recently my leak rate has been way up there. I just can't seem to get my tongue in the right position against the roof of my mouth in order to prevent this. I u...

Re: I forgot
I have been using the P10 for awhile and recently I cannot get my leak rates down. So I suspected a stretched-out headgear. I looked at the mask on cpap.com, thinking I might could use a replacement mask and keep the old one as a backup. I saw in the P10 description that since late 2016, there are c...

Re: TSA and CPAPs
I have both been asked to take my machine out, and not. Usually, I just put it in a tub, still zipped up in its case. I do place items inside the case (mask, extra mask, tape, chin-up strips, etc.) in a ziploc bag so that they do not have to be touched, hopefully. And I have a copy of my prescriptio...

Since September 1, 2010. I am very grateful to have a condition that is treatable without medication. Do I bound out of bed each morning full of energy? No. But then, I am not a morning person.

Re: Mouth opening while sleeping
I have struggled with opening my mouth and jaw drop during the 6 years I have been with this therapy. What I have found works well for me is a chin-up strip, and tape. I use the gentle paper tape, and I make an X over my mouth, with the two strips crossing in the middle (obviously). The chin-up stri...

Re: Sleep Study Tonight....Nervous
When I had my sleep study, the tech told me to sleep just as I usually would. And said that if I usually used a sleep aid, or a Breathe Right strip or something like that, to use it during the study. I think that they want to get the stats that would be normal for you on a normal night's sleep. I to...

Re: I'm thinking my husband is afraid to use cpap because...
I second the idea of turning the ramp off! And I second the idea of a nasal mask. I personally have never found a full face mask that I can wear comfortably and without leaks. There are many who swear by them. I also feel that they are sometimes recommended or pushed upon sleep apnea patients when i...

Re: First Time Using Sleepyhead -- Comments, please
Thank you, Pugsy. I will try increasing minimum EPAP just a little, as you suggest. Overall, I am very happy with this machine (an improvement over the Resmed S8 VPAP ST), and really happy with how good my results have been with it right at the beginning, thanks to your suggested settings. Most nigh...
