CPAP for sale .... New to the forum!

Post by JBrown#4 » Tue Oct 06, 2015 10:14 am

Sorry I did not register before posting the last one and apparently my spelling was "off" haha!
I am looking to sell my son's Phillips REMstar Pro C-Flex+ CPAP machine along with the accessories to go with it. I have great pictures of the entire package. He has only worn it a total of a couple hours. (He was not having it)!!
I turned it on and checked the Info button and when "therapy hours" came up it only say 4 days so I hope I did that right. I also did not see an option for "blow time". Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Thank you in advance,

Jennifer Brown

You will help him more it you try to get him to use it ... rather than sell it
He has it for a reason ... and not using it is not good for him .
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual

I agree 100% with you but between his screaming and attempts to rip it off (even when I am laying right next to him) it is not going to happen. It has been over a year now and it has not left the bag. The doctor said it is time to sell it since he is doing much better since he has had his tonsils and adenoids removed and has grown. *fingers crossed*

To sell it here you will need to list the REF number from the bottom of the unit ... depending on blower time and then REF number you might get $100 to $200 for it here ... might do better with your local Craigslist ....

Thank you grayghost4 - the REF is 460P but I can not find the blow time. As far as the local Craigslist goes I feel sketchy about Craigslist but I might give that a shot.

The total machine blower hours is in the Info section but you may have to go into the clinical menu setup area and then into the Info area (lower left box) to get to that information.

If you don't know how to get into the clinical menu setup area this explains how

It may be that you haven't gone to the next set of menus (after therapy hours) to get to the total hours.
It may or may not be the same as therapy hours because therapy hours can be reset to 0 and total machine hours can't.

Thank you!

It's really too bad you didn't seek help on this forum back then. At some point in the future he IS going to need it.
The vast majority of the folks on this forum (from past polls taken) have had their tonsils and adenoids removed when we were young. Didn't help. It sounds like his settings were "wrong" and he couldn't tolerate something.......maybe too low of a pressure setting or too much humidity, wrong mask or something else.
For your doctor to say "it's time to sell it" is completely absurd to me.
His sleep apnea WILL return at some point and you're going to have to go through this all over again......if he doesn't die first.
Sleep apnea can be a slow or quick death from things like Diabetes, heart attacks, strokes and other medical issues.

I'm going to say it ahead of time.......I'm sorry for your loss.

How old is he? Does he snore? Have you noticed stops in his breathing while he sleeps? Does he have dark circles under the eyes? Is he energetic? Does he need naps during the day or early evening? How many hours per night does he sleep? How is his concentration and learning?

If enlarged tonsils and adenoids were the cause of his sleep apnea, he might be cured. I pray so.
