Hello everyone,
As the subject states I am new to this forum but not to CPAP machines, the first one I hade was a long time ago, I now have a new one it's the Phillips resporonics system one BiPAP with theComfortGel Blue Cushion and SST Flap for ComfortGel Nasal CPAP Masks, the trouble I'm having and I did check several pages to see if anyone else experienced the same problem (If there is a similar posts I apologies for not finding them) is my mask seems to suck down on to my face rather hard sometimes it wakes me and feels like I was slapped in the face, I live in Thailand so there is a slight communication problem with the machine provider, I read the directions carefully and it seems like I have the headgear adjust properly (but prolly not seeing the problems I'm having) any suggestion's on how I can make this more comfortable? Also since I'm in Thailand my machine serial number wont register on to Phillips sleep mapper program, and suggestions on a downloadable software\program I could use. Thank you for any help you can provide
Louie

You control how tight you adjust the mask... or certainly should, and overtightening doesn't help as the thin silicone needs to inflate when you put on the mask, otherwise it won't be effective. But if what you say is actually happening, maybe your pressure setting is too low (the low #) and you can't breathe comfortably that way... have you tried raising it by a couple of cm?

Yes I have, but you might be right I will bump it up again, as far as the headgear I don't think its to tight if I loosen it up any more I get leaks, I'm wondering if I'm rolling over and putting my head weight on it while I sleep
