For sale

Post by Jedwards15065 » Wed Sep 02, 2015 1:05 pm

I have a new resmed vpap adapt-bilevel plus h5i humidifer, heated tube and wisp mask & case. The machine has less than 160 hrs on it. Due to recent issues for ppl with chf I have been advised by medical professionals not to use the machine anymore.
Have receipts for over $6100 Canadian, any reasonable offer accepted..

I suggest that you get the full model name off the label on the back, you may have an ASV unit and not a plain BiLevel machine
Sleeping MUCH better now

If it has the Hi5 humidifier then it is a S9 model.
So S9 model numbers for the Adapts are either 36007 and the last in the S9 Adapt would be the model 36037.
The model numbers are on a sticker on the blower and probably have REF in front of them.
If you are thinking of getting anything near even half that $6100 it won't happen.
Maybe something in the $500 to $1000 range from one of the forum members here.
It's like buying a car...doesn't really matter what you paid for it. It only matters what you can sell it for.
Forum members here are known tightwads.

The supplier sold you a product that is unsuitable for the intended use. This is illegal in the U.S.

I would demand a full refund for the returned machine.

If they say no, in the U.S., you could get a lawyer, for $500 or less, to write them a demand for a full refund and you would get it.

Don't get screwed. Demand a full refund.

Let your supplier worry about getting their money back from ResMed.

I hate to see people get screwed. If you allow this, don't come back here and tell me.

If is s9 ref # 36037a. Says rx only also.

That's about the price range I expected, the lower end is fine if it helps anyone.

They are saying that I can still use if I want it there's just add a higher % increase of complications if I continue using it, due to heart issues.
Most ppl probably wouldn't care about the increase but I choice to listen.

This whole thing smells fishy.
And, no way of contacting the potential seller, either.

And, I agree that you should be able to (try to) get your money back if it's no longer prescribed therapy.

If you have "CHF", what are you using instead?
I would suspect that this machine should be able to be configured into something "milder" for that condition.

If you're not a logged-in member, I don't believe you can see the "PM" icon.

Hate to say this - but the poster is from Canada - Depending on the province that the poster is from, what you suggested may or may not work.

Canada is at least as civilized as the US, so what's illegal here should be illegal there as well.
Your mileage may vary south of the Equator.

It really depends on how much (if any) government support the original poster got. Yes the receipts may total that much - but how much actually came out of pocket? That's what I meant - a full refund may be significantly less than that large amount that was posted.

EDIT: I currently have an APAP that's a rental. My receipt says $1500+ based on everything they gave me, but in reality, I'm only out $150.

Hey guys/gals...I am interested in this machine if I can get it at a price that won't take food off the table.
And here's why...remember Stormynights?? She needs an ASV machine for travel (long story but I think most of you regulars know it) and while I would love to be able to just buy her this one or even sell her my 960 so dirt cheap her head would spin...I don't have that kind of money but if I could get this one for myself I would donate my old S9 Adapt 36007 to Stormy...it's high hours now and not worth much for me to try to sell it but it would sure be quite suitable for a travel machine. I am still using it right now. Nothing wrong with it except the hours are getting up there.

I was referred to this site by a specialist, all I was trying to do was reach more ppl who might need what I have to offer. How this is fishy is beyond me, wasn't allowed to put my email in your forum, sorry.
Now what's the Canadian government got to do with it, they made money of me, this was obviously a mistake.

You are silly. In his OP, he stated,
$6100 Canadian
.

So I assumed he was in Canada even though he did not specify Canada.

And that is why in my note, I said,
... in the U.S.

... in the U.S.
Pay better attention.

That a product is suitable for the purpose it is sold, is standard business law in all modern economies.
