Apnea/asthma and Vitamin D

Post by Dogjudge » Mon Aug 31, 2015 10:47 am

I work in the food ingredient industry. I get LOTS of trade publications every day.

This is the original article that was referenced in one of my trade publications.

While you should take everything with a grain of salt, this is a scientific article NOT an article by supplement folks.

I have really good asthma control these days and AMONG the things I do is supplement Vitamin D (and K2). I have really good Vitamin D levels (70).

I don't know if I can attribute all of my good asthma control to Vitamin D because I also have a careful, nutrient dense diet, get a reasonable amount of exercise, and I take maintenance doses of inhaled steroids. I have no clue if just the Vitamin D alone is responsible and I'm not rocking the boat to find out Still, if you have low levels of Vitamin D, there is evidence that it may be responsible for many conditions, so it's worth supplementing (along with Vitamin K2!).
