Where to buy filters
Is it safe to buy filters online. I was checking amazon because my supplier is supposed to send, but last time they sent one. I'd rather have larger supply on hand.
Diagnosed after home study with 37 obstructive Apneas. Indexed at 22 Per hour. Moderate Apnea. Have suffered migraines and waking up stiff and tired and at times with muscle spasms.

I've gotten some bad filters online (some too fuzzy, some threadbare, some obviously cut with scissors), mostly from some of the marginal internet vendors and of course Ebay. Just stick with the top internet vendors (like CPAP.com, our sponsors). It's worth it to protect your machine and your lungs. I don't keep a large supply because one quality filter, like I use, lasts me about a month.Corky1121 wrote:Is it safe to buy filters online. I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

It's been my experience with many electronic things that the brand name filters are superior to off brand. Not an issue if you do not live in a dusty environment. There's a lot of construction dust in my area during the summer and early Fall, so I just use the Resmed brand filters (bought from Ebay). For the off-brand filters, they are just fine for the winter. That's what cpap.com sells.
