Seeking AirSense 10 feedback.

Post by elg5cats » Wed Aug 26, 2015 9:52 pm

Last year I posted about getting a new APAP, was considering AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her decided to wait until out longer to see what user experiencers are. Now it is time for a new APAP. For those using the AirSense 10 AutoSet, what's good, what's not so good about the machine and/or software!!!! Is the software working ok with Windows 10? Thanks so much, appreciate your time/assistance.

I have one, but have not used anything else. I have heard nothing bad about it except twice it was making a loud squeal in time with my breathing, I removed the water tank and put it back in and the noise was gone.
The data is good as far as I know and works with sleepyhead and sleepyhead works fine with Win10. You can also get a Toshiba SD card that has WiFi built in so you don't have to bring the card to the computer anymore.
Sleeping MUCH better now

It has a perfect score on cpap.com. That's highly unusual for ANY product that I've ever seen on ANY website. I have that exact machine. (Yes I'm a guy.) I wanted it because of the extra algorithm and the RERA detection. It is very quiet. I can't hear it at all. If you have any specific questions just let me know.

Replaced my Resmed 8 a couple of months ago with an Airsense 10. When I first saw it, my reaction was negative as I was skeptical about how the humidifier pulled out and in. Also it has a small "brick" transformer which the other machine did not. But, I very rapidly adjusted and now I just love it. Quiet, the humidifier is NOT a problem and is easy to clean, I love all the adjustments, and the heated hose is a real godsend when the room air is cold. Also, it can be quite conservative of the distilled water because it senses the temperature of the tank water. Thus on a hot night when the tank water is already at 78 deg F, the heating component won't go on and overheat. So - a good machine.

Thanks for all the excellent information and links.................think I will choose the AirSense 10 for a new machine....now, I'll decide if it's more cost effective to buy myself or go through insurance. I think in the end the monthly payments were same or slightly more than the cost of my current machine by time it was paid for. I like the idea of wireless data.
Thanks for all who took time to share your experience and give some links. Once I get the machine, I may need some help with the data program process!!!
