Work is being affected!!

Post by AnotherMe » Wed Aug 26, 2015 12:48 am

I know people here will understand what I am going through! Sleep Apnea is effecting my job in a bad way!
1. I am using my cpap machine. I'm going to sleep around 9:30 because my body wants to. However, I am waking up around 3am every morning! How do I deal with that? I get back to sleep eventually, but it's not a quality sleep.
2. I am a light sleeper and anything wakes me up!
3. To compensate for my lack of sleep I took a half of Nuvigil oral which my doctor subscribed. It makes me very nervous. I end up losing my cool at work over frustrating things. I can't take that drug. But how do I deal with the tiredness?
4. On top of my lack of sleep my co-worker is playing music in the office.. the same music, day after day... It's very, very distracting and can really effect my work at times. I am new so I don't want to cause trouble.

Hello AnotherMe,
There are smart folks on this board but in order for them to help, you need to list your equipment so they will know what you have..have a seat and someone will be with you shortly...

I know where you are coming from. I went on Provigil but it does not make me moody or agitated as a matter of fact it worked great in the beginning but little effect now. I keep a strict routine and sleep but I still have trouble with day time sleepiness so I really don't know what ro tell you except talk with your doctor.

Along with filling in your equipment profile, make sure you list what settings you're using, too.
I can think of any number of things that could cause it, but will resist making "guesses" without any information to go on.
Are you using software (like Sleepyhead)? Your answers may very well be in the reports.
