I used the S9 for one year, before my doctor moved me to bilevel machine. The S9 left my place only during 4 visits to the sleep clinic, & I used only distilled water in the humidifier. It was very well cared for. I live in a smoke-free, pet-free place. I was sent an extra H5i humidifier by mistake & allowed to keep it. No kidding! I kept it as a spare but never used it. I was also on Apria Healthcare's "Overkill Program", thus all the extras.

Just a wild guess Bucco, figuring 8 hrs a night, somewhere around 2900 hrs per year, may be less/more depending how much sleep(hours) at night...

I was looking for actual hours based on what the machine reported.

Once the screen is on, press AND HOLD the two buttons just to the right of the screen (the ones with the check marks and the "i") for a few seconds. Once the menu comes up, turn the round knob counter-clockwise until you are on the wrench icon (the bottom one). From that screen, one of the listings is "Run Hrs" which indicates the total hours of runtime for your machine.
