I've fallen in love with my new TAP PAP but it can stand some critical improvement.
As many reviewers have commented, the supplied hose is too short and too rigid for comfort, particularly when used without any headgear, which is most desirable to me. I've replaced it with the hose from my Nuance Pro, which is a perfect fit. Like all the recent ResMed nasal pillow masks, the Nuance hose is very flexible and it stretches very easily, thus eliminating any uncomfortable hose tugging when used with the TAP PAP. It's also a good 50% longer than the TAP PAP original. A new Nuance hose is $14.99 on Amazon and is Prime qualified for free 2 day shipping if you don't have a Nuance to scavenge.
TAP PAP Modification
Re: TAP PAP Modification
Thanks for the mod. It sounds like a much better set-up!

Re: TAP PAP Modification
That sounds like a good mod and one that would go good with other mods I'd like to see come to the TAP PAP.
I don't like the exhaust air blowing on my arm for one .
The spacing between the nares is fixed and not flexible
so if you don't have a nose that fits - too bad. That's me!
And the last thing that I can remember bothering me
is the whole unit juts out off my face too far catching the pillow.
(stomach sleeper face to the side).
I wore this mask for about a month but for the reasons, issues
I had mentioned I can only keep this mask as an emergency back up.
I wish it worked better for me.
