Airsense 10 Missing Usage Hour and Rainout?

Post by zuckie13 » Thu Jul 30, 2015 8:41 am

Ok, two weird things last night.

One, after going to sleep at about 11:30pm, and getting up at 7am, with about 30-45 minutes of the machine being off due to the rainout issue below, my usage time shows about 5.5 hours when it should have been over 6.5). I see from some other posts that I should check the time on the machine. It's weird, because it's been counting correctly every other night until last night. I don't think the machine actually stopped except for when i turned it off to deal with the water. I'm confident a sudden lack of pressure would wake somebody up. No sign of a power outage last night either.

Two, I awoke to a whole bunch of rainout in the middle of the night (actually didn't realize it the first time I woke up, felt wet in my nose, but I assumed I just needed to sniffle and went back to sleep). The second time, when I noticed something wet coming out of the mask vents, I realized what it was. Serious condensation/water droplets in the mask, the mask tube, and the climateline tube. I decided to turn off the humidifier and empty it, dry the mask and tube ends a bit, set the hose temp to the max and try to go back to sleep. Same as most nights so far, I had the machine set to auto humidifier, and auto hose temp. Same room temp as usual (65-67ish) as well. I hadn't had any issue (or even sign of one) with rain until last night. It almost seems like the host wasn't heating when the condensation happened.

Any way these are somehow related? Even if the date is messed up (I'll check when i get home), I wold hope that would not cause it to do something stupid and stop running the tube heater, but that' what I'm suspicious of happening. After the restart i could feel the hose warm and it dried itself out, so I don't think the hose itself is broken.

Any ideas, or suggestions?

Does the display show you are using the Climateline hose?
If not, then the connection may not be complete.
Wipe any moisture, debris, off the contacts and reconnect.
Watch the display.
If it does not display the Climateline hose, the hose could be defective or damaged.
My hose never feels warm, even in winter--No heat, followed by too much heat--weird! Broken?

I don't think it was getting hot like very hot, just felt warmer than the surrounding air (hose at 85, air at 65 should feel a little different).
I can't be sure it was connected right when it rained, I hadn't moved or disconnected it from the previous night, but it certainly was after i dried it a bit (disconnected it to do that, that's why not sure how well it was before).
