Re: OT: Dad is moving out

For those who followed the original soap opera..... The truck is being packed as I type. Joy of Joys! The house is now (legally) ours! Tonight the heat will not be on because the house has dropped below 24c. Tomorrow we can start getting rid of 1000 gnomes and dwarfs, the formerly white wall to wal...

Re: If PAP prescription written in different state than I live

funny that they would accept prescriptions from Australia since they don't write prescriptions for xPAP machines. Did you ask your dr to give you one so you could order from the US? huh? My doctor who lives in Australia (as I do) wrote a prescription for me. I downloaded cpap.com blank prescription...

Re: Nighttime toilet trips

My trips reduced went down to one a night when using CPAP. Try not to drink too much before bed, but don't make yourself dehydrated. I was in hospital two weeks ago for severe dehydration and it wasn't fun, it took FOUR goes before they could find a vein in one of my arms, otherwise they were going ...

Wow! I disappear for over a month, to find this still going on. It's been an entertaing to catch up. A few things I want to say; My instincts were right all along. I knew this would cause trouble. To the people who said I was being mean and unhelpful. Where has your spoon feeding approach gotten you...

Re: Newbie pls be gentle.

I have never seen a sleep doctor. My primary doctor sent me for a sleep study. The study showed I needed a machine an my DME gave me the worst machine! After reading this forum and educating myself, I went back to my primary care doctor and he wrote a prescription while I dictated to him. I got a g...

All I can suggest different is don't buy junk food. If he wants to eat that crap, he has to go and buy it himself. I am a junk food addict and I used to binge on crap when it was in the house. I was also too lazy to go and buy some so I would find something healthier to eat or not eat at all.

Re: Getting set up with my CPAP machine

My three year old nephew could put the innomed together using the manual. He might put the nasal pillows in upside down, but he could do it. I don't understand why Echanter appears to be having so much trouble.

Its a very easy mask to put together.

Re: What causes us to mouth breathe?

I have been told by my ENT specialist that I have clear nasal passages. Yet I mouth breathe. I believe its just the muscles relaxing, no amount of tongue pressing against the roof of my mouth has fixed it.

Re: Partially off topic: electricty and power surges

I've never had your specific problem, the only time weather affects electrical things is when there is a storm and a power line has come down. Or when a Magpie fries itself on a line (thankfully not often) then the power goes out entirely.

Forgive my ignorance but does your house have trip switches?
