I am a new user for a CPAP, I tired it last night for about 3 hours. I have a full mask, it got hot under the mask, is this normal? How long should it take for me to get accustomed to it and see results?

Do you have a heated humidifier on your cpap and was it on? If so try lowering the heat setting. You should get used to the mask fairly soon. It's different for everyone though.
Morbius, are you bored?

Yes I have a heater and I made sure it was off. Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it.

Hi Delaware,
If you would register and list your equipment, we might have a better idea of how to help you. On my machine there are separate settings for the heated hose and for the heated humidifier. So the type of equipment might help others to reply. After you register here is a link to help with equipment. wiki/index.php/Registering_Equipment_in_User_Profile Also, here is a link to help you pick out which machine you use. https://sleep.tnet.com/cmd

Someone just posted about using ice packs in a cooler and rigging it up. I wonder if you could just add ice to the humidifier chamber to get cooler air. I'm not really sure but someone will come along who knows way more than I do

One thing I heard a lot is to try practicing with it while watching TV or something like that, this way you can see where you want to set the humidity or if you even like the humidity at all.
