Re: S9 hard to breathe out?

Verify that it actually is set identically to the others, including EPR. You can compare it's pressure to your other devices by building a simple manometer. Essentially, putting the end of the tube into a deep water bath, turning it on and then measureing how far the tube goes down before the air ...

Re: Central Apneas on Resmed Aircurve S11 VAuto

Just some additional information that I find interesting: Manometer: I purchased a manometer, and found that my pressure was fine. I decided to check my old ResMed S9 VPAP S, which I was told was blowing at 8 per a supplier (I asked him to turn off ramp). ...

Re: How Long To Feel Better When Starting CPAP Therapy

... I had it tested and it showed pressure to be 8 at EPAP, but I don't 100% trust the person testing it as it took them a long time to figure out the manometer. I got this replacement S11 Aircurve. I see CAs on the S9 all of 2023. They were around 30 and increased to 60 over the course of one year, ...

... sure it still works. (Same with Gramps.😉) Regarding the S7, if your data shows good therapy and you feel good, there is no need to check with a manometer.

... pressure(s)? Do you use EPR/Flex/SoftPAP relief? There are significant differences between manufacturer's handling of these features. A home-made manometer is just a piece of clear tubing taped to a stick with some water in it... you can easily check your machine's calibrations over a range.

Re: Airsense 10 problem?

Maybe you could build yourself a DIY manometer and verify pressures when you start up the machine????
You can buy them but they are also easy to build. Somewhere on the forum a DIY manometer is explained but I don't have that link handy.

Re: 2 cpap machines

You can test your machines' pressures by creating a home-made manometer. You'll need: 1.) A 2 foot (65cm) stick 2.) A 4foot (1m) piece of clear tubing, 10mm OD (3/8") 3.) Some clear tape 4.) A measuring device (tape, ruler etc) 5.) Some water You can combine ...
