Travel cpap suggestions

Post by -don » Thu Mar 05, 2020 10:25 am

I'm searching for a travel unit. I just tried the ResMed AirMini. Pretty unimpressed. The motor is quiet, but the airflow in & out of the machine is VERY loud. Anyone have suggestions for a Quiet travel unit?

What machine do you use now? Will you need to use your machine on airline flights or where electrical power is not available?

Travel machines are going to be noisy. Seems that all of them are from reports on them. I have an HDM Z1 and had to do some things to it to make it less loud just to use it. Part of that was replacing the factory hose with the "Travel Hose". That was the single biggest improvement I made to the noise factor. But the AirMini has a proprietary hose ( thanks resmed! ) so that would be a problem........

If you want to try a travel machine, try using it at home for several days at home first. You would not want to find it doesn't work or doesn't "work for you" while you're away.

I've heard a rumour that having the humidifier on the DreamStation Go reduces the hose noise significantly. anyone have experience with this?
