You might want to bring it to your DME if you bought locally or if you got it online you might want contact the company you got it from. I think it might need to be serviced by a professional.

I believe error code 3 is an internal memory error.

Nothing you can do but send it in for service, or buy another machine.

I suspect that it may not be cost effective to have such an old machine serviced. You've gotten about 5 years of use out of it. The service manual just says to replace the entire circuit board.

I was lucky to get a 550P with very few hours for $100 on my local craigslist to tide me over until I got my insured machine. And there are some good deals to be had from long term posters right here without the hassle or uncertainty. Secondwindcpap.com is good for used machines with a warranty. And our sponsor, cpap.com, has the best prices on brand new machines.

A huge benefit of upgrading is that you can get a data capable machine that sleepyhead works with and be able to see in detail how your therapy is going. To do this, you'd need at least a PR 550 or Resmed S9 or DeVilbiss Intellipap or newer.

If you are handy or know someone who is, you could always open up your failing machine and check all the connections, how parts are seated, etc. and look for any obvious signs of problems, but the odds are not good.

Feel free to ask for advice about replacements that you are considering - getting something good is important.

Not ANY Resmed S9 will work with Sleepyhead.
Avoid anything in that series with the word "Escape" in its name.

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual

Check the Useful Links in my signature line for info on which machines to buy if you end up getting a replacement machine.
