Need help downloading and using Sleepyhead
Need help downloading and using Sleepyhead
I have tried to download the Sleepyhead program and I think the problem is probably me. I have Windows 7 and it appears to download, but not able to open anything. I am not a computer whiz, so if anyone has easy step by step instructions that might help me figure it out, I would greatly appreciate it.
Re: Need help downloading and using Sleepyhead
Did you get it unzipped?
Once unzipped you go into the main unzipped folder and scroll down to either the last file or the next to the last file (open GL or closed GL) and click on one of those files to launch SleepyHead.
Once you do that you may get a missing dll file notice. Let us know if you get that far.

I have gotten that far and it says MSVCR120.dll is missing.

Okay...go here
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=40784
and click on "download" and then you will be taken to a page where you have to choose which file to download
Choose the middle file that is 6.9 MB in size. It should be the one your computer needs if yours is like mine was.
Download it and then go to where you downloaded it and double click on it to install it. Just let it go where it wants to go...no need to try to put it inside SleepyHead.
Once you get that installed go back to that SH unzipped folder and click on that file that you click on before and got the missing file message and SleepyHead should launch.
If it does go back there and right click you mouse on that file and from the menu that pops up choose either "pin to task bar " or "pin to start menu" so that you will have a quick easy icon to click on to open SH and not have to go into the folder every time.

Re: Need help downloading and using Sleepyhead
It worked. Thank you so much. Hopefully I will be able to find where it is downloaded and look at results again. Thanks again. I would never have figured it out on my own.
Re: Need help downloading and using Sleepyhead
If your computer is setup like my Windows 7 then the downloads all go to the download folder which is under your user profile. The normal place to have it unzipped is also in the download folder unless you directed it to go somewhere else. So it should be in the download folder unless you did something different or have your downloads go somewhere else. Win 7 default downloads all go to the download folder. You just have to remember that you have to open the unzipped folder to run SleepyHead and not the zipped folder.
