AirFit N10 issue

Post by pm50x » Thu Jul 16, 2015 11:41 am

Yesterday one of the clips for my headgear (AirFit N10) fell off and disappeared. Contacted my supplier and another supplier and learned that the little clips cannot be purchased separately. These are pieces that are less than an inch long and are secured to the headgear by threading them through the Velcro strap. Finally contacted RESMED and they will not - I repeat NOT sell the clips separately! I have to purchase about 2/3 of the headgear for $68 ! The entire replacement headgear is $90. Have briefly searched to see if anyone else has encountered this and haven't had much success.
So because of this I want to let anyone know, who uses the AirFIt N10, to save the little silicone and metal tabs (they call clips) that slip through the Velcro. You may need them in the future and cannot purchase them alone. Frankly the company is very shortsighted in this regard IMHO. Seems a prime target for an aftermarket supplier to modify the design slightly and then sell the little clips (as they are called).

I am not familiar with this mask but are these the clips?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/RESMED-MAGNETIC ... 51d42368ef
Approx $10 if one adds in shipping.

or this one $10 with free shipping

ResMed may take package them separately but there's usually and EBay seller breaking down these masks because they normally end up making more money parting the masks out.

Yes those do look like the magnetic clips that I think the OP is referring to. I also had one come off but luckily I found it.

Since the clip is magnetic, it may be clinging to something metal near where you lost it.
Check your bed frame, especially the casters, and metal fasteners of any clothing that it may have fallen on.
Heat vents may also attract it, or hardware on wood furniture.

I have had the same problem. I have searched everywhere it could be and no luck. Pugsy, thanks. I just ordered a new one.
