Reading chip data from my resmed cpap machine

Post by mal59 » Mon Jul 06, 2015 3:46 pm

First, excuse me if I am doing/did something incorrectly here. This is my first post as I joined today. I read in one of the posts about reading the data from the chip to determine as best as possible how your system is working for the user.

I downloaded a file viewer but that didn't provided much intelligible information. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I have been using my Resmed with heated humidifier, full medium face mask for 4 nights, and feel worse every morning. I understand this may be short term but the thought of reading my information is empowering.

Thanks
Mike

Welcome Mike,
First can you tell us which Resmed machine you have? And these sites will help you pick it out and see how to list here. https://sleep.tnet.com/cmd
wiki/index.php/Registering_Equipment_in_User_Profile
If your machine is data capable we can help you to get software to be able to see your data.

Hi Mike -- What is the exact make and model of your machine? Once we know we can tell you if your machine records any treatment data and if so, how to start looking at that data. If it's a ResMed S9, the model name is right by the Start/Stop button like Escape, Elite, Autoset, Escape Auto, VPAP..... If it's a newer A10 machine, the name is on the front of the machine, bottom right side.

Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the responses but I downloaded Sleepy Head and I now have the data, just have to turn it into useful information.

Mike

Actually, it provides tons of information that you just need to understand how to interpret it.

You might start look at: viewtopic/t88983/Pugsys-PointersSleepyH ... Hints.html

And if you are having issues understanding the charts, you could post a few for people to give you explanation of the various information you are seeing.

You can learn how to post your charts by looking at: https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepyhead/shorganize
Current Settings PS 4.0 over 10.6-18.0 (cmH2O) - Resmed S9 VPAP Auto w/h5i Humidifier - Quattro Air FFM
