Scary tongue swelling

Post by Dispatcher108 » Mon Jul 06, 2015 4:42 am

Hi, new member here. I was diagnosed over 10 years ago, but could never fall asleep with a full mask on, and gave it up till recently. Within the last 18 months, I ballooned up to 280 lbs., ( definitely gonna address that), and my apnea has gotten much worse. Appx. 2 months ago I started wearing the mask again, with a new machine with humidifier, and have willed myself to wear it. The transformation is nothing short of spectacular, mostly in my energy level during the day, having previously fell asleep at the drop of a hat. My loving wife has noticed a vast improvement in my mood, no more morning headaches, and it looks like I am moving forward in a very good direction. This morning, I woke at 4am, and the left side of my tongue, ONLY the left side was very swollen. I recall I was sleeping on my left side when I fell asleep, and when I woke, I was still on my left, I don't think I shifted at all. Has this ever happened to any other full mask users ?? My machine ramps up to 16, so I believe I have severe apnea. It's only the last 2 weeks that I've been able to wear the mask thru the entire night, and this has never happened before. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, everyone.

I would go to an ER, or at least a "doc-in-a-box"
You might wind up in the ER anyway.
Beats the heck out of YOU in a box!
I'm serious. This is some scary feces!
