Dreams?
I have been using CPAP for almost a year.
I have crazy dreams almost every night........nothing scary, not nightmares, just dreams......
Anyone else have them?

Re: Dreams?
Check your data.
The only way to remember dreams is to wake up enough to process them into memory. If you are having events in REM that are waking you up then your therapy is not optimized.

After reading the topic of this thread and was waitng for it to come up,I thought to myself that I dream almost every night. I see it's the same for you. When you obtain the proper sleep stages, you will dream.

yes, but, as mentioned, most people don't REMEMBER the dreams, unless you're roused from a good sleep.Sheriff Buford wrote:After reading the topic of this thread and was waitng for it to come up,I thought to myself that I dream almost every night. maybe your treatment needs tweaking, good sir.

Re: Dreams?
I dream all the time and remember them fleetingly when I wake up. You can dream in any stage of sleep, the idea you only dream in the REM stage is not true for a lot of people.

Re: Dreams?
I had a whopper of a dream last night and remember it distinctly. I was not awakened suddenly. When you are sleeping in a healthy manner, isn't dreaming and remembering your dreams (at least fleetingly when you wake up) a step toward normalcy? Just asking.

Re: Dreams?
I was always told if you're not dreaming, you're not sleeping.........I figured the crazy dreams are because I am sleeping so much better now...........I was sure everyone else would be too because of our good sleeping habits now!

Re: Dreams?
If you remembered the dream, you had an arousal. It may have been a very fleeting arousal that you were not aware of, but it was an arousal.MarylandCPAPer wrote:I had a whopper of a dream last night and remember it distinctly. I was not awakened suddenly.
Several arousals per night are normal whether you have sleep apnea or not.

Since Baby Crow is remembering a lot of dreams, she is having a lot of arousals and her CPAP therapy is not optimized. The data needs to be studied.

Do you think any person ever has a rational dream? The Baby Crow wrote: crazy dreams
Almost all dreams are somewhat irrational.
Something is causing arousals. Sorry to repeat, but you data needs to be checked. CPAPs are not magic machines and the prescribed pressures are not miracles. Things very often need tweaking. The Baby Crow wrote:dreams almost every night

Re: Dreams?
Arousals are apparently not awakenings but may lead there. I've read from this one source, a board-certified sleep specialist, and others that 20-22/hr are considered normal at age 50-60:ChicagoGranny wrote:If you remembered the dream, you had an arousal. Re: Dreams?
I was having a dream the other night and I remembered it. I think it was right before I was aroused by the alarm clock. Do I need to tell my boss that I need to quit setting my clock because it is interrupting my sleep and causing me to remember my dreams. This dream happened to be a good one so I'm glad I remembered it. lol

Seems as if the guy has some kind of neurological disorder, drank 10 cups of Java or is hepped up on something. I only got through a minute or two of it- couldn't get past that guy-was sort of 'creepy'.Krelvin wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XB7HqZc2p2Y
