Repairing Small Hole in Heated Tube?

I just recently purchased my machine and hose after trying things out for a bit with my RT. I'm using an AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her with a heated tube. I had it at home for only a couple of weeks when my cat decided to see how the tube would taste. So there's a small puncture and a few other tooth ...

Re: How long till you feel better (less sleepy, more energetic)?

It took me a few months before I realized that I was waking up earlier than I used to, plus when I woke up, I was more "awake" instead of being in a sleepy haze for the first hour or so after waking up. It does take a lot of time to get used to using a machine, a mask on your face, tubing, etc. But ...

Re: Amara View Mask?

I'm hoping to test the mask next week. My RT says that it can be a great mask for some people, but others are reporting a lot of annoying leaks. As leaks are one of the issues I'm struggling with, I hope that's not the case with this mask as I'd love one that doesn't put a lot of pressure on the bri...

Re: I'm having a hard time sleeping with the CPAP masks

My RT told me that a lot of people with sleep apnea avoid sleep subconsciously as we know it's dangerous for us. Once we realize that the CPAP machines make sleep safer for us, we start to relax into sleep more easily. I don't know if that's what is really happening, but I do know that I fall asleep...

Re: My Camping Battery Box

This is a great thread. I'm going to be camping for five days later this summer and thus far, I've not been able to secure an electrical site. Unfortunately I'm not able to purchase the items to make such a set up (or the amazing ArkPak Portable Power Source) but it's good to know this is an option ...

Amara View Mask?

I had an appointment today to review the trial data with my sleep doc and get a prescription for an APAP (woohoo). I told him I'm still having issues with the fit of the full face mask I've been using (pressure on bridge of nose, etc.) and he said that a new mask had just been released recently by R...

Re: Masks for Airsense 10 Autoset for Her

My DME said she got the For Her for me but she didn't, that is what she charged the insurance company for but they are the same price and I compared them and truly the only difference is one color strap. Also I have read where almost any mask will work with most machines so the mask does not have t...

Re: Masks for Airsense 10 Autoset for Her

Different brands will work with different brand machines. Sizing is typically done using the sizing guides for each mask. Thank you for your reply and I realize that different masks fit differently. My question relates to the masks that Resmed has that have two different models, with one being "for...

Masks for Airsense 10 Autoset for Her

Hi everyone, It looks like I will probably be getting an Airsense 10 Autoset for her. I've been testing an S9 and it's helping a lot but my biggest struggles are with the masks fitting, leaking, creating pressure points, etc. I tried a nasal pillow and it makes me panic HUGELY so it won't work for m...

Thanks so much!

I'm going tomorrow to talk to the RT at one of the vendor places and get a test machine. Keeping my fingers crossed it will help.

Airsense 10 Elite Reviews?

I've been calling a few different accredited suppliers re. the machines they stock here in Ontario, and also if they recommend one over the other. A couple of places I called seemed to think that the Airsense 10 Elite was the best option for a CPAP machine with full data tracking, but one other plac...

Re: Just Diagnosed and Prescribed a CPAP

So I take it you had only the first diagnostic sleep test and haven't actually had a sleep study done using a machine for determining optimal pressures. Is that correct? If that is the case they have zero way to know if you might have needed more pressure when on your back or not. I've had two over...

Re: Just Diagnosed and Prescribed a CPAP

I will - from what I've read online, I will want one with full data (not just compliance/usage data) and also the ability to start at a lower pressure and build up to prescribed level once I'm asleep, and also humidifier and hopefully a way to warm the air.
