forehead breakout
forehead breakout
I have been using a bipap machine for over 10 years. I use a full face mask and all of a sudden I have seemed to have developed a reaction to the silicon forehead piece. It has gotten so bad I had to see a dermatologist. I changed the mask out hoping that would solve the problem. Any suggestions.
Re: forehead breakout
Did you get a new mask that your skin may be reacting to? Wondering if a mask liner might provide enough of a barrier between your skin and the mask to stop the reaction. One of our forum members sells mask liners with the brand name PadACheek. Others are out there too. May be enough to help you out.
Edit: Just realized you said the forehead piece. I've had a couple masks where I covered the forehead piece with a footie style sock. That would be something quick and easy you could try.

Re: forehead breakout
Saw the pad a cheek and will give that a try....may help with the leaks and having to tighten straps so tight that the indent are on my forehead for hours.
Thanks
